This has to be the most magical ice cream ever to make for the kids. It’s not hard to make and looks impressive.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cream
  • 310 grams of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Food colouring
  • Sprinkles

Method:

  1. Whisk cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Fold in condensed milk and vanilla extract and divide mixture into 5 bowls. (Or more or less depending on number of colours you want to make.)
  3. Add 2 drops of food colouring to each bowl and stir to combine.
  4. Layer all the coloured mixtures in a tin.
  5. Smooth the top with a knife and then gently swirl mixture a few times to slightly mix colours.
  6. Top with sprinkles and freeze for 5 hours.
  7. Your ice cream is ready to eat!

  • How cute is this? Not relevant to me, but I know many unicorn-loving kids who would go crazy for this.

  • Years ago due to money shortage I use to make ice cream with lollies in it. My poor neighbour went out the next day without asking me to try to buy it in the shops, this was 1991. Now you can buy lolly ice creams.

  • Our favourite ice cream flavour is banana-vanilla. I make it just with frozen banana, raw vanilla powder and raw chocolate nibs.
