I love having baths and I love bath salts. I just learn’t how to make my own and it’s so easy.

DIY bath salts

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sea salt
  • 2 cups of baking powder
  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoons of rosemary and chamomile
  • 1/2 cup of milk powder

Method:

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until finely blended.
  2. Put the salts into jars or bags to store or give as gifts.

Try it out and let me know how it goes. Please add comment below.

  • My Grandma used Epsom Salts. She reckoned it was great when her muscles felt sore. Apparently it worked the same as Radox. My Mum tried both of them and reckoned the epsom salts worked just as well as the famous Radox did.
She reckoned you paid for the fancy name.

  • This is intriguing me. I’ve only ever used commercial bath salts and really have no idea what is in them. I love how simple it is. Please excuse my silly question, but how do you colour your bath salts (as pictured).

  • I have to pass on this one as I just don’t use my bath – too much to do so I always shower.
