In the instructions they clearly state to attach the chest safely to the wall. It’s important to do that. No reason for a recall, I agree.

They shouldn’t have to recall the product. They have include the restraints and instruct people attach them to a wall.
Any chest of drawers or bookcase has the potential to do the same thing if not attached to the wall.
People need to stop looking for others to blame and start taking responsibility.

Ok so if its safe with the fixing straps then they don’t have to recall it. I hope they advertise about the fixing straps so people realize

I’m not sure why they’d recall it in one place ad not another. Laws, maybe?

Considering there have been children’s deaths regarding the drawers,Ikea should recall the product.

  Ikea provide fixing materials so the drawers can be fixed to the walls. It’s in the instructions and recommended on their website. I don’t see why they should have to recall the unit if the customer does not use it in the intended way (ie. fixed to the wall).
