Yes, they have discussed it and decided to remove themselves from being senior members of royalty.  THUS not attending all those public appearances that they are expected to attend.

I am a HUGE fan of Meghan.  I applaud this decision of theirs.  She has been under so much scrutiny.  Headlines on her HAND GESTURES.  The FUED BETWEEN HER and KATE.  Her race.  The list goes on.

Damned if they do ; damned if they don’t.

Harry has done the right thing by his wife.  Deciding to quit.

Why should a society feel entitled to put down an individual?

“We paid for that wedding!  Us tax-paying, pea-chewing, pint-swigging, non-judging, upstanding folk.”

“We pay!”

Who cares.  Harry was born into it.  He married.  So what!  The simple fact is so many have been mean to Meghan, for no good reason.  For the simple fact that she’s married a royal man.  If the emotional, mental outpouring of malice and negativity on her could be seen, in a physical baring on her,  she’d be torn to shreds.  Flesh intermixed with that slightly-loose-fitting-gorgeous-wedding dress in patches of clawed-off dress.

You know what.  It’s back to a white royal family at forefront of England’s, well, frontline.  How sad for them!

How sad for us all!  I mean, Prince Andrew with sound accusations against him, the non-SWEATING Prince Andrew.

Yes. It’s allegations but seriously.  I’m almost not a royal fan anymore.  Underaged sex offending and so much status he doesn’t sweat!! (pardon my humour). Are you kidding me?

The delusional, entitled, powerful royal family had a chance to move into a new, modern decade. Part African-American talented beauty enters the palace.  New blood, new connections and she’s…..let’s speak in simple terms here…….been chased out.  So many journalists have written negative articles on her. Why?

What is the fury at a new duchess?

Quite frankly I think the couple has made a great move.  And there’s no rule to say they’re not allowed to concentrate on family.

Yes, there are the bills the TAXPAYER pays for, but that doesn’t give the public the right to own their souls.  It’s gone too far.  It’s good old-fashioned bullying.  Repeated, unwanted, continual, negative.  Bullying.

I wish them well.

I hope they move out of England and fulfill their souls with what’s dear to their hearts.  Bringing up that lovely young child, and then I’m sure another.  Go to Africa, build sanctuaries.  In their gumboots and khaki.    Live in America and feed the homeless with more soup kitchens in L.A.  Yes!  That’s their style!!

It’s the royal family’s public appearance loss, majorly.  And whether the taxpayer still pays for Harry and Meghan’s dinner in high-places  isn’t going to change what the taxpayer eats for dinner, himself.  It makes no difference. The same happens with all the other royals’ lifestyles.

The public needs to stop being so bitter and carrying on.  This royal couple isn’t lighting fires, nor setting off missiles, or having people assassinated.

Somewhere along the lines, the seething comments and responses towards them are not in tune with anything the couple has done.  What have they done wrong?

I don’t blame them, making this move, at all.  To take themselves out of the media spotlight.

YEAH, RIGHT!! No spotlight pfffft.

Do you agree? What is you take on Meghan and Harry’s decision? Tell us in the comments below.

  • I too tend to agree with what mom90758 has said. Originally I thought Meaghan would add a new dimension to the Royal Family, now I wonder if she will continue on as she did before. Neither of her previous two marriages lasted very long and I did wonder if Harry was looking for a new mother-figure due to the loss of his mother when he was so young. She is older than him and certainly her own family don’t have too many nice words to say about her. That’s where most of the criticism has come from. Guess we will just have to wait and see, but they won’t do their world saving causes much good flying from one to the other country all the time.

  • I don’t think they will ever be able to gain true independence. The media will always hound them.

  • I totally agree with mum 90758 I also think that Meghan is pulling all the strings and Harry is just a naive puppy. I personally don’t think much of her but do feel sorry for him.

  • I have to say that I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that she has been under scrutiny because of her race. I’ve never seen any such scrutiny in the media or otherwise. It’s easy to conflate that idea when you are a supporter of her with just general dislike of her personality style. I’m neither for or against her, but I think in true Hollywood style what has occurred both before and after this split has been overly dramatised and a lot of hyperbole used. I think what has been abundantly clear to me personally here is the classic clash of the very British (the upper class variety) characteristic of being staid and reserved in the public eye, and of those sensibilities being somewhat offended by the very open American style, not forgetting that this would be hard for Meghan to suppress as a natural instinct to go to as she was an actress. The clash may be cultural, but it has nothing to do with race, more the two different ideas regarding public decorum.

  • I don’t really care. It’s their lives, they choose how to live it, like how we choose to live ours

  • I support their decision but not how thry went about it. Ifthry weighted till all the plans where concrete there wouldn’t be so much fuss.
This way they are guaranteed no privacy as the interest will be even more as they forge a new life

  • I just wander what queen is going to do next

  • It is something you don’t just do but l believe it is all too much for them with all the bad publicity.

  • it’s a tough one to comment whether they are right or wrong. there is no right or wrong in these situations – just what one wants. if this is what they both wanted then they’ll be happy. it sure will create problems for both sides but it’s their call.

  • Well, I liked Meghan too from the beginning. She brought a breath of fresh air in the monarchy. And I love the way she inspires young women.
I followed her marriage to Harry on tv, and also all the bad things said about her. Without giving too much importance to them.
But this split from the monarchy… I don’t know… I must admit I didn’t like it. Not that it’s not in their rights, of course it is, if this is what they really want. If this is what HARRY really wants. I hope it wasn’t done just for Meghan. I hope HE won’t regret it one day.
I think she knew very well what she was getting into, when she married. And still she went on. A very expensive marriage, a first rebellion deciding to move to live somewhere else and spending a lot of tax-payers money to renovate it.
I hope the Queen will be able to patch a little bit the problems created by their decision. I found it very inconsiderate that they didn’t discuss this with her before going public on Instagram. In my idea they didn’t show much respect for her.
And I fear that this split has damaged the relationship with William. And also Kate. Another inconsiderate thing to do, going public on Kate’s birthday. It sounds like an attack to her and William.
It’s not the first time either that they do such a thing. They announced that Meghan was pregnant, around Princess Beatrix wedding. How to steal the thunder.
So sorry, no, I have different feelings about it.
