Jimmy Rees, aka Jimmy Giggles, has withdrawn from ‘Dancing With The Stars’ to spend time with his family after his son’s recent health scare.

“Jimmy Rees has made the difficult decision to leave Dancing With The Stars. His seven-week-old son, Mack, recently suffered complications during a routine procedure and is in hospital in a stable condition,” A Network 10 spokesperson said.

“Understandably, Jimmy has left the competition to be by his son, and wife Tori’s side, during this difficult time.”

The Giggle & Hoot host Rees and his wife Tori welcomed twin boys Mack and Vinny into the world in early February.

The couple also has a three-year-old son, Lenny.

Little Mack recently suffered some complications after a routine procedure for a tongue tie.

On Friday Tori shared an Instagram post asking people for the prayers for little Mack,

“Please send my beautiful Mack loads of strength and love.

“I took him today to get a simple tongue tie fixed and the man cut a main blood vessel.

Little Mack was rushed via ambulance to a hospital.

Tori shared that her 8 week old baby boy needed CPR, a blood transfusion and was put on a ventilator.

She added, “Please give him so much strength for us. We are speechless.”

The young couple had a terrifying weekend sitting by their baby boys bed praying for a recovery.

Thankfully in a recent update from Jimmy today he shared,

“Mack, is doing very well. We are cuddling him tight as he recovers from a very intense, emotional and tough few days.”

We wish them loads of love.

  • What an awful situation. I’m glad he left without a thought, his wife and children need him and that’s much more important than a TV show.

  • Oh gosh, the fear that just rushed through my body reading this.
I wish Mack and speedy recovery and sending hugs to Jimmy and Tori.
My son Had two nurses hold him in position while the Dr cut his upper lip tie, So I wonder what the heck went bloody wrong.
Poor Tori witnessing this, the fear she must have felt to see all the blood, that poor mum.

  • So terrifying.
My son required this procedure and when it was corrected my midwife suggested it wasn’t done correctly. The paedtrician said if he cut any deeper it would bleed an awful lot and be dangerous so we obviously didn’t ask for anything further to be done and my son can move his tongue freely. So terrifying to think such a simple procedure can go wrong so quickly and drastically
