Hello!

Justin Timberlake has made a public apology on his Instagram page about recent photos capturing an intimate moment between him and co-star Alisha Wainwright.

In the recent post, Timberlake called his behaviour a “strong lapse in judgement”. He insisted that nothing had actually happened between himself and Wainwright but still felt the need to apologise to his “amazing wife and family” for putting them through such an “embarrassing situation.”

“I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love,” Timberlake shared.

“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement – but let me be clear – nothing happened between me and my co-star. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour.

“I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.

“I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it.”

Timberlake and Wainwright

Didn’t Mean Anything

The damning photos were released last month, showing the married star sitting on a balcony and holding hands with Wainwright, who in turn, rested her hand on his knee.

The pair was snapped around midnight chatting and drinking in a bar in New Orleans while on a break from filming a movie in which they play lovers.

The 38-year old Timberlake married Jessica Beal in 2012 and they have a four year old son, Silas.

The couple is regarded to have a rock-solid relationship, which is one of the reasons the photos created such shock.

Neither Biel or Wainwright have responded.

  • I like the fact that he did apologise.

  • It must be so hard being constantly in the public eye. I must say I wouldn’t have even recognised him in the above pic. I bet someone got paid a fortune for such a photo. It’s quite disgusting really.

  • Maybe he should ask the media for a written apology for showing the photo without his or her consent.

    Reply

  • Look like it’s media making things worse.
However only those involved will know what really happened At that second.
Don’t think he needed to apologise publicly

  • I don’t see why he feels like he had to apologise to his wife? There has to be more to this than just the one pic??

  • Was that the photo? That’s it? Why did he feel the need to apologise?????? Interesting!

    Reply

  • I don’t think his very public apology was justified, all it has done is draw more attention to the whole situation …..

  • I hope there is nothing more to the photos.
