Kelly Clarkson's mid-concert surprise

Singer Kelly Clarkson made a very special announcement as she performed to thousands of fans in Los Angeles yesterday.

The 33-year-old was performing her song ‘Piece by Piece’ when she became overwhelmed by emotion and revealed to the audience “I’m totally pregnant.”

Honestly, I’m just so hormonal today. Nothing’s wrong, everything’s great … I haven’t vomited yet. That is a freakin’ win y’all!

Kelly and her husband Brandon Blackstock wed in 2013 and are already parents to 14-month-old River.

The star apologised to her husband for blurting the news out on stage, saying “That was not planned. I just didn’t want you to think I was crazy or something.”

That would have been a good concert to be at and hear the sudden news of her pregnancy. I totally get having trouble holding it in. We told family very early on as we couldn’t hold it in!

I loved her honesty and spontaneity. Obviously not how she’d planned to announce it, but lovely nonetheless. I was away from my husband and family so I announced it in many ways. One of which was showing my dearest friend the first scan. We’d been trying IVF for 2 and a half years so we had early tests and early scans. It was a lovely way to show someone.
