Larger families will be celebrating! Kmart has just launched its brand new supersized pie maker, which makes SIX pies instead of four!

Mums with more than two kids will understand the frustration of churning out pies with the current 4-pie-hole Kmart pie maker. You go through the effort of assembling the pies, cooking them for 15 minutes but at the end of the whole process – you’re only left with 4 pies. And if you’ve got five or even more mouths to feed, it’s just not enough. So you land up repeating the process again and by the time you’re done, it would have been easier to use the oven.

Supersize It!

But now Kmart has listened to our pleas and given us the newly revamped supersized pie maker – a mega machine that will prepare six pastries instead of four! The pie is the same size – you just get two more bang for your buck.

The new pie maker will be a significant time-saver when making larger quantities of pies. The only issue now is do I keep my four-pie-hole version as well? I’m thinking YES!

We’ll Need Bigger Kitchens!

A mum broke the news of the new gadget on a pie maker Facebook group, and shared pics of the machine. The post went wild with pie maker fans tagging their friends and applauding the latest addition to the Kmart pie maker family, joining the sausage roll maker and the family pie maker.

“We’re gonna need bigger kitchens,” said one excited shopper.

“And bigger pants…” retorted another.

“MAAAAATE this is what I’m talkin bout!!!!! THANK U – now ima give my mum my 4 one and get myself a 6 wooohoooo!,” said one very enthusiastic fan.

“Omg lm hyperventilating .. l need that,” yelled one passionate fan.

But I’ve Finally Got Hold Of The Four Pie One!

Others were a big miffed that they had just bought the previous four-pie version before knowing about the supersized pie maker.

“Stop I feel cheated I just bought mine that makes 4!,” said one disappointed shopper.

No More Space!

A few also commented that they just had no more space left in their kitchens for additional pie-making gadgets.

“Girl I ain’t got no more room for anymore pie makers, 3 pie makers and a Sausage roll maker and I’m done,” said one

The new 6-pie supersized pie maker is in select Kmart stores now but hasn’t hit the online shop yet. It is priced at $39 (only $10 more than the previous model).

Just like all its pie maker siblings, we reckon this one will sell like hot cakes (or hot pies, rather!) Keep an eye out and let us know when you get yours.

Would you be keen on the new supersized pie maker? Tell us in the comments below.

  • I don’t have room in the kitchen for a machine of this size. Happy with my smaller piemaker.

  • Wish this was our years ago. Would have made things much easier as a family of five lol

  • Perfect. 1 pie each for the kids and 2 for mum and dad Hahahaha.
But like everyone else, now I I’ve to Find the room oh and fight for one at the shops first.

  • Winter is pie time so what better way to make a pie than with this pie maker for all the family. Saves so much time and looks professional. Would love to win one.

  • I love my 4 pie maker, but this is crazy. PIES FOR EVERYONE! :)

  • OMG!
I absolutely love my four pie maker but this new one would mean I can make more in less time.

  • I need to get me one of those

  • Happy with our current pie maker and no current intention of upgrading to a bigger pie maker.

  • Yes I have been trying to find the pie maker somewhere so this is perfect and I can’t wait to track one down. We make pies a lot especially from left overs so this would be amazing and save so much time and effort.

    • Leftovers in pies taste terrific and we do the same. It gives leftovers a pickup!

  • Good for doing a lot on the weekend and freeze for when you need and the other thing I would experiment and do half sweet and half meat.

  • I still make my pies and use my oven – it works well and I love what I bake.
Wouldn’t have room for all these gadgets and they don’t taste any better than what I make anyway.

  • That’s annoying as I just bought one and have only used it once!

  • Don’t own one.

  • I’d prefer this to the 4 version which is what I have 6 would be so much quicker for me to get everything done

  • I’m happy with my muffin tray and using the oven, but I could see why people would love this :)
