This mum proudly showed off the set up she had created for her son until some suggested it could have another purpose…

An Aussie mum has taken to Facebook to proudly share the ‘relaxation station’ she created for her teenage son using Kmart products. The ‘relaxation station’ put together essentials her son might need in one convenient tray, sending the mum’s post viral – but not for the reasons she probably wanted it to!

Good Intentions

The mum said she had wanted to make her son’s room more comfortable for him. “I love this hack! I just bought a Kmart soap dispenser and bathroom tray to use as my son’s relaxation station,” she wrote. “He likes to watch internet TV in bed and he has a chronic runny nose (tissues for days – I think it’s the aircon!) and he has problems with dry skin and goes through heaps of hand cream.” The mum went on to say that she had put sorbolene into the marble soap dispenser and a box of tissues on the tray. “Now he has everything he uses, all in one spot!” she said.

Mum Creates Relaxation Station For Son

An Innocent Mistake

While the mum seemed incredibly proud of the setup, comments on the post were quick to point out that it could have another use. “What an amazing idea to disguise the masturbation station,” said one Facebook user of the Kmart creation. “I’m actually dying,” said another. Others said that the mum may have inadvertently found a way to deal with an otherwise awkward situation. “This is what all our sons need in their rooms,” said one mum. “As a mother of three boys, I feel like I should do this in the near future too,” said another.

Despite accusations that the post may have been a prank, we think that this mum probably just wanted to do something thoughtful for her son. Even though it wasn’t her intention, she may have just given the parents of teenage boys a clever way to avoid uncomfortable conversations…

  • It’s sad there are so many epeople out there thinking its ok to attack others online

  • She was being soooo considerate. Good on you mum.

  • That is so funny!!!

  • I don’t like much the idea, but if her son likes it, why not?

  • People have dirty minds. These kinds of comments is what’s wrong with Facebook

    • It is unfortunate – it really is not what I saw – so I am somewhat surprised – but sharing photos on social media will attract all sorts of comments.

  • Sure, why not. Sounds like a caring mum.

  • It would not be my thought at all – but people see what they want I suppose.

  • Not something I would do

  • Either way you take it, I think the room looks great.

  • This is pretty funny and maybe if he was the type to do “that” he will remember his mum set it up for him and get a bit turned off

  • Haha. I guarantee he just wants her to leave his stuff where he has it.
