Hello!

My daughter is only 8 and is already obsessed with selfies and recording mini videos of herself and her dolls. If I could give her any gift, the Kmart Studio Selfie Light Stand would be top of her list.

Kmart really has its finger on the popular pulse. If you have ever taken a selfie photo or video, you’ll know that lighting is crucial. The right lighting can transform you from a washed-out rag to a glamour gal. But who has the cash to shell out on professional lighting rig? Well, now you don’t have to.

Kmart has come out with the most wanted item for any Tik-Tok crazed teen. It’s essentially a selfie stick with a light ring all in one. The studio selfie light stand is height-adjustable and extends to 71cm and includes a smart phone mount at the top. It’s not very tall but you can pop it on top of a table for added height.

The light ring is not big (about the size of a side plate) but big enough to give off just enough light to capture the perfect image and create a mini studio in your own home.

Studio Selfie Light Stand

Lots of Uses

We love that there are three light modes and the light intensity is adjustable, which means you can dim it or brighten for maximum impact.

If you can wrestle the studio selfie light stand from your teen, it is perfect for some extra light to put on makeup or brighten up a dull room for those work-from-home zoom meetings.

The reviews are generally positive for this product – parents are saying that their kids absolutely love it. It’s not professional-standard but for those teens who are obsessed with creating the perfect Tik Tok or selfie, then the studio selfie light stand does the trick.

One of the best things about this product is the price. The Kmart studio selfie light stand is priced at only $19. Similar products are on sale for practically double the price so this is a great deal. Unfortunately, a bargain price means high demand and this item is often out of stock. But make sure you check back on the website often to see if you snag one as soon as stock is replenished.

  • No. I don’t get this fascination of taking selfies. I see people post them all over social media and it appears, for many, they’re fishing for compliments, the more adulation they get the more selfies they post. Perhaps it’s an alternative for seeing a therapist or maybe they just have tickets on themselves. I don’t know but it seems a bit desperate to me.

Too much emphasis is placed on self and self image these days. No wonder there is so much anxiety and mental health issues. These days people are more unfulfilled than ever before as they are continually trying to aspire to be something that they see on social media. Often these are unreasonable expectations and inevitably lead to disappointment. We should spend more time trying to help others instead of self self self….

  • I tend to prefer old-fashioned type photos rather than selfies.
