The latest product recalls you need to be aware of this week including Peter Alexander, Norwex, Baby teether and an infant sleep bag.

TJX Australia have recalled an Infant Sleep Bags.

The garments fire hazard information is not located at the neck, as required by the mandatory standard.

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and return the garment to any TK Maxx store for a full refund or exchange.

Bloom and Grow Australia have issued a recall for Beaba Babycook Neo.

The fragile glass bowl may shatter or break, potentially causing lacerations to users and bystanders.

Consumers should cease using the product and contact Bloom and Grow to arrange for a replacement of the glass bowl or a full refund.

Our Little Helpers have recalled the Wooden Fox, Wooden Heart, Wooden Cloud and Wooden Ring Teething Toys.

The dimensions of the attached wooden shapes do not comply with the Australian mandatory standard, and may get lodged in an infant’s throat.

Consumers should immediately cease using the teething toy(s) and dispose of them. Consumers should then contact Our Little Helpers for a full refund.

Peter Alexander Sleepwear have recalled the P.A! Scented Large Triple-Wick Candle – Various Fragrances 400g.

The candle wax may ignite, causing a fire. The ignition of the wax may lead to the glass container shattering.

The defect poses a risk of injury and creates a fire hazard.

Customers should immediately stop using the candle and return the candle to their nearest Peter Alexander store for a full refund.

Norwex Australia have recalled the Extendable Rubber Broom.

When strain is placed upon the product during use, the broom handle may break and expose a metal rim, posing a risk of cutting hands/fingers if placed near the point of the breakage and exposed rim.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and dispose of the broom. Contact Norwex for a full refund or a Norwex voucher for a value higher than or equal to the retail price of the broom (plus any shipping costs).

  • Thank you for making us aware of the recalls. We had a plastic teething ring similar to this 35 years ago. It is now no longer used for fear it may have started to perish. None of the babies have ever managed to get any part of it stuck in their mouths or their fingers.

  • Safety is key. I’m glad there has been a product recall. It a shame this wasn’t found before these products hit the market. Thorough and profound product testing is essential.
