Breast milk lotion for babies is the all natural and homemade remedy that can ease skin irritations and infections for your little one.

Breast milk contains all the necessary fatty acids, nutrients and antibodies a baby needs, especially in the first six months of their life.

Did you know that the ‘liquid gold’ can also be used to clear up skin issues including eczema, rashes, and baby acne, reports The Daily Mail.

Several recipes posted on blogs and parenting websites instruct mothers to melt beeswax and grapeseed or coconut oil in the microwave for a few minutes. Then quickly whisk in room temperature breast milk and a few drops of vitamin E oil until the mixture thickens.

Leave the lotion to cool down before using it and store it in a plastic container where it can be kept for up to three months.

Before using the cream, test the breast milk on a small patch of your baby’s skin to make sure they can tolerate it.

Worth a try if you have a bub struggling with enflamed skin!

  • Lots of mums have been raving about breastmilk on facebook to heal cracked nipples, along with skin issues with babies. Please, please be so careful heating oil. Grapeseed oil in the microwave gets hot so quickly and is already liquid.
