Jenga is a fun game for both adults and kids. Imagine how much fun a giant sized game would be!

Well you can make your own giant sized outdoor Jenga game to add fun to your backyard! Here is how to do it:

DIY Jenga

What you’ll need:

  • wood
  • saw
  • sandpaper
  • stain or dye (optional)

  1. Cut 54 x 10.5″ pieces cut from 2 x 4″ boards.
  2. Sand edges until they are smooth so they will slide easily and also not give splinters to the kids.
  3. Dye or stain the pieces if you wish and leave them to dry overnight.
  4. Stack up your pieces and get playing.

My kids love Jenga and they would love a big outdoor version, I think I will have to make one. This would make a great party game too.

  • If you know people building a house you may be able to get some of the timber offcuts to make these from, or perhaps go to a timber yard to buy offcuts.

  • I’ve never played Jenga. I’ll have to Google the rules.

  • I love this. Adding this to my to do list!

  • I love Jenga! Last year, at Australia Day’s ceremonies in Perth, there was a huge Jenga, human size. It was so much fun!!

  • I love jenga and this is a great way to get little ones involved and with these bigger planks it will be easier for them.
