A man has been found guilty of murdering a baby boy a week before his first birthday.

The court heard the child’s injuries were so bad he would’ve bled out in just seconds.

Jason Noy, 28, was found guilty of killing 11-month-old Harro Dean at their home in Paynesville, eastern Victoria in July 2016.

The Supreme Court was told Harro died as a result of severe internal bleeding, the ABC reported.

Prosecutor Andrew Grant said the baby suffered ‘a constellation of injuries’ which only Noy could’ve inflicted.

Paramedics were called to the house Noy and Harro’s mother Jamee Malcolm were living in about 7.30pm on July 5, 2016.

Harro was pale and non-responsive, and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Forensic pathologist Heinrich Bower said Harro’s injuries were so severe he would’ve bled out within ‘tens of seconds, minutes at most’.

Dr Bower added Harro would’ve been ‘in excruciating pain’ before he died.

The force needed to inflict Harro’s injuries was ‘at the farthest scale of severe, even past severe’ Dr Bower said, which would’ve involved the hyper-extension of the child’s back.

Noy denied hurting Harro, but Mr Grant said Noy’s version of events were ‘an elaborate lie’.

Noy will be sentenced in June.

  • Absolutely horrible no one especially a baby deserves to be treated this way.

  • What sort of sicko would do this to a helpless child. He needs to be put in jail with no chance of parole. Put him with general population and let them know his crime. He’ll then get the sentence he deserves

  • Is this for real..
Break his arms and legs and lock him up and let others know why he is there for.. so he will know how helpless Harri was…

  • I truly can’t understand how people do this.

  • I can’t understand why any human would do that to a defenceless baby.
I hope the baby lost consciousness quickly. He has to be gaoled for life – and I mean life. She should never be released- not even on highly supervised home detention. Pity taxpayers have to foot the bill for his food and care. No privileges including TV. No visits.

  • Evil person. There are some people who should never be allowed to have let alone raise a child and he is one of them. Hope all know why he is in gaol – they will sort it.

  • This seems to be happening more and more. I’m so glad the article didn’t go into extensive detail. I felt upset just reading what I read.

  • I should t have read that it’s made me really upset thinking of what that poor baby went through. This is a case where the death penalty needs to be bought back :(
