  • I’m not sure, I never counted the words. I also cannot remember back that far now, But I do know that at the time he could start talking he never stopped lol he was always a constant noise, and even now at 13.

  • Every child is different, I hope other mums aren’t comparing their little ones, all babies will talk when they are ready.

  • Everybody child develops differently don’t compare

  • Yes its very normal let him play with other kids

  • lol… that’s good ..some kids start late and some start early… all cooool

  • It sometimes depends how much you talk to your child. You can only teach one word at a time initially. The often say Dad before Mum even if Dad isn’t on the scene. I have no idea why.
If you talk too quickly they will find it difficult so say words in such a way you can understand them. I know a 3 y.o. who still pronounces T as F and sometimes it sounds like he is swearing or cursing. Truck definitely doesn’t sound like truck. His parents don’t talk to him much.

  • It’s normal for your baby.

I can’t remember how many words mine spoke at that age, but now at three she doesn’t ever stop talking.

Enjoy that he only speaks 30 words for now. By the time they speak constantly, you’ll think back to the time the household was much quieter. You might just have yourself a little chatterbox.

  • That’s great you can always ask your maternal health nurse this question everyone learns at different stages and ages

  • Some talk earlier than others

  • Yes all kids are different, check with your maternal health nurse if you are unsure.

  • Don’t compare your child to others. Every child is different and unique.

  • My baby is just turned 1 and he is not talking yet.But he was walking from 9 months.Every child grows up differently and by about age of 4 or 5 you can everyone does everything so you can never say who did what first.

  • Each child is unique. My son had heaps of words under his belt when he was that age, my daughter however only has a handful.

  • Mine is 19 months and says way less!

  • every child is different …also depends on how much time you spend talking, and singing to them.
