Hello!

I’m looking for ideas for a 13 year old boy’s birthday party that isn’t too expensive. Go-karting and paintball is very expensive. Any other suggestions?

  • PS We always look at Scoopon and Groupon deals as well and have used many for parties !

  • We did once a night walk through the forest and the boys all had to bring their flashlight. Ending by a restaurant with a low prices menu, where they had dinner. After dinner they walked back and had a sleepover.
We also have done the cinema and a meal at the foodcourt.
An other time we did bowling with a simple meal.

  • Movie night with pizza and popcorn or camping sleepover night

  • It depends on the childs interests.
Sports are usually a good idea. You could go to a local park with some sporting equipment.
There’s also the cinema, depending on how many children would be attending the party of course.

  • The first place to start when organising a birthday party is by looking at what the child enjoys doing, what would his friends enjoy. It’s really hard to make suggestions without knowing this

  • Pool parties are cheap.

  • If there’s a local bush/oark area around you, then you can organise you’re own kind of paintball competition. Divide the boys into 2 teams and give each of them a bucket with 10 water balloons each and the task of capturing the other team’s flag. If you get hit with 3 water balloons, you’re out of the game and you have to go and eat the food for a while while the game plays out. Very cheap and the boys will love it.

  • bowling movies are great fun….

  • there are some good comments here

  • a disco would be heaps of fun

  • Sports store voucher or sporting equipment is always a winner here! :)
    iTunes cards are also popular

  • Some local parks have pathways all around where the kids can ride their scooters, and there are bbq facilities there you could make use of too.

  • How did the party go?

  • Every kid has different ideas of fun, ask him if he would like to go bowling or would he prefer something more out doors.

  • At 13, our son loved movies, pizza and having a few good mates over for a sleepover,
