Hello!

Hi mums, today I had my first ultrasound and we asked to know the gender. The lady told us she thinks it was a boy because she could see 2 legs and thought she seen a little penis. She said if I get another ultrasound get them to confirm it because bub wasn’t in the best position. Should I start buying boy things? Or wait in case it is a girl? Thanks mums.

  • Keen to know what you had hehe. I’d wait

  • I’d wait

  • I would wait. Was she right?

  • I would wait particularly if they weren’t sure. Hope everything went ok with the birth.

  • I would wait. She didn’t sound very convincing to me. Stick with gender neutral (I know how hard they are to find, believe me!) colours until you have the sex confirmed. It’s not that far away, you’ll still be able to get stuff done and bought in time

  • What did you end up having?

  • How confident was the lady. I would wait and try to have another scan or wait until birth. The most important thing is they got all the measurements for the doctor or obstetrician

  • Get one of those 3d 4d ultrasounds. They show heaps. Its more real.

  • I would just buy gender neutral things for now and confirm at next scan congrats!

  • just wait! or keep the receipts and tags on

congrats though and just enjoy carrying that beautiful bub

  • I would buy a few unisex clothes until baby is here, then you definitely know what it is and can go nuts buying all the cute little outfits :)

  • I would wait, if you are excited and just want to buy a few things go and get some white outfits that are unisex. I didn’t find out with my first but my second it was very clear he was a boy. This one on the other hand twice now bub has had it’s legs crossed and we have no idea :) we will find out I guess when bub is born :)

  • Yes wait til the next scan as a “thinks” doesn’t seem that confident.

Do another in 2-3 weeks and see what they say

  • Buy unisex as ultrasounds are not 100%. Besides you can get some really cute things in unisex colours.

  • Try to buy unisex for now :)
