Hello!

Hi, I just wondered if I could ask a question. I have a 7 month old baby that I am moving into her own room. Im going to need a monitor for the room but have no idea what good, what’s not etc. I don’t need anything too fancy, and I don’t want to pay a fortune. What do other parents have? Or would recommend. Which monitor is best?

  • We have the Angel Care ones.
First child, we bought the Movement (Breathing pads) & Sound.
Second child, we upgraded and bought the Movement (Breathing pads), Sound & Video.
They are expensive but definitely worth the money. I love them!

  • I never used one. I found my babies screamed loud enough when they needed me, I well and truly heard them all over the house. If they weren’t loud enough to be heard, they didn’t really need me urgently and could be left on their own for a little longer

  • I have oricom and love it. I had an angelcare and returned but it might be more suitable if you want a simple monitor

  • I recommend Angelcare Movement & Sound Monitor.

  • i think target had some great ones. im interested in the answers .

  • We bought an oricom but hardly used it is we lived in a small apartment and there was no need for it.

  • Hope you found one that you like.

  • I think the Oricom is a good one, might be worth seeing if any are available on ebay.

  • Did you find a monitor that you like?

  • We like Tommee Tippee Monitor

  • I am currently using an Oricom monitor which is quite good when the receiver is in the dock, however I have found that it doesn’t have a lot of battery life once you take it out…
I love the idea of the monitor that hooks up to your phone that someone has suggested earlier in this thread!

  • Fisher price is good one.

  • Rach has a lot of valuable information Good Luck

  • Azmaz good thinking my sis had fisher price!

  • Hope you found the one most suitable for you with so many helpful suggestions
