  • Dinosaurs, Paw Patrol, Minions, PJ Masks, Cars, Superheros, Avengers, Spiderman, Batman, Monster Trucks, Hot Wheels are some of the things my 5 year old likes

  • Rollerblading

  • I remember my sons 5th birthday party well. My daughter had just turned 6 in July and my son had his 5th birthday in August and I did a combined party. We did their party in an awesome playground and they both could invite their whole class, their siblings, mums and dads. It was one massive picnic. One of my friend is an professional facepainter and she brought her stuff. I only organised lots of food & snacks, drinks, coffee, tea and wine for the parents as well. It was one of the best parties ever !

  • following, a couple of the kindy kids have birthdays, play center and maccas. we did home party last two years. not sure, just ask him? depends on budget.

  • a while ago since my kids small, now there are so many more things for parties and themes. What does he like, e.g. Lego or cars, have talk with him to get idea’s.Also depends on how much you want to spend! Young friends of mine have had picnic in parks, model train rides and outings(if in your area) I went and it was great fun riding on little trains, they took a picnic and a cake like a train (of course).Dressing up parties also are good going as favourite character. Hope this gives you some idea’s and great party.. another friend hired a jumping castle in their back yard, lots of kid food and balloons, ice cream ,adults and kids went to that one too, all out doors and paper plates etc. so not to much cleaning up.

  • Nerve gun party
    Water fight party
    Wii games play
    Dress up day
Or just let them lead there own type of party day
Doesn’t matter what you organise they will make there own fun

  • I had a pirate birthday party for my daughter’s 5th birthday and it turned out absolutely amazing. Everybody loved it, boys and girls!!!

  • TMNT, Spiderman, Cars, Dinosaurs, Pirates. I did Spiderman for my sons 4th birthday just gone. It was great :)

  • We had a pirate party and it was awesome! I did a huge treasure hunt in the back yard. told all the kids our town was once a coast line where many ships had become ship wrecked. I made notes and put in bottles and hid them around yard with clues as to where to go next. I spray painted pebbles gold to make gold nuggets in an old creek bed (garden with stones), we used a wine barrel as a Rum barrel. The kids were amazed and astounded. Finally they got to dig up treasure of jewells and coins and jems. We played pin the patch on the pirate. made a pirate ship bday cake out of a Donna Hay cook book. made knives from wooded spoons and alfoil. decorated with black streamers. had a pirate ship piñata.

  • One of my son’s like Fireman Sam on TV, so I did a party around this character. I had a quiz about the show. (Note: all the boys helped everyone to get the right answer so everyone could win a prize) But the red fire engine cake was a flop. Nobody liked the red icing. Another son had a pirate party, where finding the loot was one of the games. It depends on your child and if they are introverts or extroverts. A child (like my nephew) may just like one friend around and go the the zoo and have a special gift from the shop. Both my boys were extroverts and enjoyed the social aspects of the parties.

  • I love themes. We have had parties for our children based around the first letter of their name eg M for Matthew where food, games, prizes start with me. Matthew is a Pisces & had a “fish” party. Fish games (pin the fin on the fish), fish & chips to eat, fish shaped cake, goody bags with magnetic fish & rod, sun hat etc. Use your imagination. The possibilities are endless for different themes.

  • my 5 year old just had a ghostbusters party at the local park. Pinterest helped immensely

  • Superhero, How to Train Your a Dragon and Lego are 3 I’ve heard of recently that sound like a lot of fun!

  • Really depends what he is interested in.
Pirates are easy. You and make a treasure chest easily covered in chocolate icing and make staps with licorice. Fill with gold covered chocolate coins.
    Do a treasure hunt.
Play pin the wooden leg on the pirate.
    Anything like that.

  • My boys went to a bike centre and rode their bikes and scooter, had lollies scrambles and pass the parcel. They loved it. Any party where you have lollies, cake and a few games if great.
