Hello!

Long story short I have unexpected visitors coming, my friend has 4 children and as I was making my own kids stockings I want to make her kids one too so they don’t feel left out. But now that I have to fill 8 it’s going to be pricy, what I have in my kids ones so far that I will buy for my friends kids stockings is Girls – trolltrolli lollies, cheap brackets necklaces etc, kinder Santa chocolate, mnms minis tube, Boys – same as girls except they have hot wheels cars instead of jewellery. And they are only quarter of the way full. Was thinking a small teddy each to help fill up, a jar of playdough, stickers, but otherwise I can’t think of anything else, help please?

  • I used to put colouring books in also textas or colour pencils some hair things for girls some body wash bath bubbles for the younger one or those bubble stuff for blowing bubbles or that make patterns, kids love that and skipping ropes for girls and marbles for the boys that are older and popcorn packet that is a good filler.

  • Have a browse in the cheapie stores. Things like packs of uno cards and rubiks cubes can be quite cheap there.

  • Pens or pencils (or crayons depending on age) and a notebook or coloring book (or both). A small stuffed toy takes up a lot of space and can be very loved. The packs of toys that are intended as party bag novelties can be good value and usually have 6-8 items in them.

  • Go for big items at a small price. A big packet of chips and bottle of coke, for instance. My best suggestion would be to trawl the shops, ALL the shops. You’ll be surprised what you’ll come across in a chemist, the P.O. even op shops.

  • Hope it all went well for ya =) My kids pretty much live and breathe for sticky notes (they come in so many shapes – and unlike real stickers, usually can be adhered and more importantly removed walls quite easily.

  • hope that you went well afterall– you could’ve put in some homemade caramel popcorn. very cheap, kids love it and it is fluffy and space consuming

  • KMART! I had to rush there the other week and buy some presents and I managed to get some absolute bargains for about $10 for each child. A lot of cheap books, a lot of Frozen things and toys. I have even stocked up my little mans sack with extra books which were only $2 each.

  • You can often get multi packs of bubble mix in the cheap shop and no matter the age kids seem to love bubbles.
You can often also get big containers or packs of cookie cutters you mentioned playdough you could break this pack up and give them some cutters each, you could also make a big batch of playdough yourself which might be cheaper than buying.
You can also often get little $2 craft packs at cheap shops or you could buy the craft bits to make your own up this would give the kids a quite activity to do air.pumas afternoon.

  • Try these inexpensive ideas!
buy a giant pack of colour pencils, split them up evenly between stocking and print out colour pages. Girl ones like Frozen, Barbie and Boys ones like Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Spiderman…or even just Christmas colour pages. Roll them up and tie them with Christmas ribbon and place in the stockings.
Baking cookies like gingerbread men, Christmas trees or stars.
http://family.disney.com/crafts – this site has so many (1000s) of Disney craft activities that you could print out and again roll up with Christmas tie and the kids can take home and enjoy.
Buy a cheap pack of 8 Christmas Baubles (or use old ones from your own tree if you don’t mind loosing 8) and using glitter glue, write the kids names on them and the year. Its a little keepsake for them to hand on their tree each year.

  • I put bubble blowers in my kids an just go to the chip shops an get a few things for $2 or $1 that’s bout it..

  • Also; forgot to mention; little craft packs; paint, paper and brush sets; usually pretty cheap and keep the kids entertained too! Any type of craft pack is good; clay and paint is also good; already made and ready to go and I have purchased some for around $2. Again, good luck!

  • Maybe some novelty hats; cowboy, cowgirl, sombrero’s and other hats-they are usually reasonably cheap too. Bubble wands and balls are fun and can be used outside for playing. Cheap colouring books and pencils/textas. Go along to some bargain/value shops; they always have some treasures, if you are prepared to hunt around the shelves.

  • Bubbles, colouring books and pencils, hair clips for the girls, little bags of lollies or chips. I used to always top my girls stockings with a little doll or teddy with their heads sticking out the top, Very cute.

  • Go to the cheap $ shop and buy those $ 1 or $ 2 packs of little toys whistles and tiny water guns and mini yoyos and such and divide them $10 should be able to fill the stockings.

  • Big w have so many cheap specials at the moment alot of stocking stuffers a whole isle but they also had this cheap showbag like thing going from $2-$10 I opened them up and split it between kids :) $2 teddy also helped to top off the bag.
