Hello!

Is air fryer another hype or is something really useful in the kitchen? :)

  • We have had an air fryer for many years and use it all the time. It’s handy, cooks things fast and we have tried many recipes and they taste better than the fried version. When ours decides to stop working we will go and buy another one straight away. Some people buy them and don’t utilise them which is a waste because once you use one, you wonder why didn’t you get one sooner

  • To buy!!! It’s the best

  • Depends on how you cook. I’ve seen people cook a lot of desserts and they are good if you normally eat a lot of roasts or fried food. We use ours instead of a deepfryer for chips mostly so only about once a week.

  • I forgot to mention – if you get TVSN in your area, watch when they do a show on the Philips Airfryer. They demonstrate it LIVE and you will see for yourself the fantastic things they cook in real time. If you can’t get it on TV, you can watch on their website tvsn.com.au

  • Get the Philips XXL – the cheap ones don’t have the same airflow as the Philips – that’s why some are getting raw results. The Philips XXL size takes a 2 kg chook and does an incredible job. You can cook whole Chicken – 45 mins, Chicken pieces, STEAK – better than BBQ, Sausages, nuggets, Frittatas, omelettes, quiche, potato bakes, pumpkin, sweet potato, SALMON is to die for – restaurant quality, pies, cakes, muffins etc. in HALF the time of an oven. The Philips XXL has a pizza accessory -magic! I’ve read the answers here and MOST haven’t got a clue. I’ve been using an airfryer daily for over 8 years. And as for chips, frozen chips and potato gems cook in 8-10 minutes with no preheating. The people who use an oven for chips neglect to tell you they have to preheat for 15-20 minutes and then cook for another 20-25 minutes and the result is aaagh!

  • I bought Air fryer from K mart, after thinking and searching for a while,do I buy dear one or cheaper, cheaper I did ,and I’m very happy with it,would recommend ????

  • For me it is really useful and convenient. I use it at least 3 to 4 times a week. You will get to explore new recipes with this.

  • When the craze happened, I was thinking ‘oh maybe I should get one’ but never did. Craze ended and my friend mentioned she had her old one (family size too) sitting at home (as she had bought a smaller new unit) and was going to throw it. I asked if we could do a trade (she loves my banana bread!) so we both ended up happy. I am still to give it a good clean out and use.

  • We have the Ninja from Harris Scarfe and it is my hubby’s new best friend. I don’t use it, it’s the domain of hubby who absolutely loves it and is always experimenting with it. We’ve made scrolls (apple, cinnamon, vegemite & cheese); and cooked roast meats, potato, dumplings, dim sims, spring rolls… you name it, he’s trying in the AF.

  • Yes sir fryers are best easy cooking with no oil

  • I have an Air Fryer and we use it nearly everyday we love is great for heating and cooking hardly ever turn my normal oven on these days.

  • Yes air fryers are best easy cooking with no oil

  • To buy… I use my air fryer every single day. If I’m reheating food I love seeing the oil drain out while the food tastes even better! Perfect for cooking anything you want light and crispy from scratch too.

  • I’m glad you asked ! i’ve been wondering the same thing . my girlfriend has one and swears by it … i regularly almost talk myself into buying one …. then change my mind ! Interesting reading all the comments

  • I don’t have one but would like to one to see what it is like!
