My daughter has this. It was a umbilical hernia. Go chat to your gp about monitoring it and your options . If it doesn’t cause bub any discomfort it’s not a big issue just a small operation to fix it up but defiantly get onto it as I am still waiting to the hospital to perform said operation and as a toddler other kids are noticing my daughters belly button. She is to young to understand what they say and the questions they ask but stil can’t wait for it
To be fixed up.
it could be a hernia, some babies get small ones in the tummies because their stomach muscles are weak. A hernia happens when a section of intestine protrudes through a weakness in the stomach muscles. A soft bulge is seen underneath the skin where the hernia has occurred. In some cases they can be serious so I would book a appointment with you gp and get him checked out. My older brother had one under his belly button and he had to have a small operation to close the muscle up.
