Lake Conjola and Bendalong are all really nice, Kangaroos galore!

We love exploring the Hawkesbury.. Usually in a cabin though so if you are looking for camping with a tent, then I’m not sure.. I like my luxuries lol..

Lake Conjola Entrance Park was our favourite spot when our kids were young, you have the surf beach, the lake entrance for swimming with the current & the back of the lake for fishing & skiing!

I think we’d class our camping preference as back-to-basics camping. Away from the crowds, a good base for walks and taking in nature and somewhere we’d be able to enjoy a camp-fire while the fire bans are off. Within 3-4 hours drive of Sydney central is all we are able to do this time round.

Bents basin, colo, toukley.. Depends on what your after, full on camping or caravan park camping.
