  • My mother in law was not nice to me but I think she was dealing with her own problems.

  • I know lots about my mother in law, but I love her too much to be saying bad stuff about her on here, even though you don’t know her

  • I’ve had problems with my sister-in-law. I try not to have too much contact.

  • Loves to voice her opinion about how I raise my children. But it’s up to me whether I take it or leave it. At least she is there for her Grandkids.

  • My in-laws are fabulous and l am very lucky to have them in my life.

  • My in laws have passed so will nor speak ill of the dead. We had more downs then ups but they were there for their son.

  • well we have had ups and downs but i take her with a grain of salt.

  • My Mil is an enormous Hypochondriac … I can’t even fake interest anymore!

  • My mil is very sweet, but if the baby cries he must have wind! It did my head in.

  • i felt completely smothered by my mother in law after our first child. my husband worked away and she wanted to come visit alllll the time . I felt she was trying to compete with my mum about which grandma is more ‘involved’. At our wedding she also wanted information and involvment in every part. It used to frustrate me but then i realised she has no daughters (only sons) so there is things and experiences as women to women that she misses out on. Now we have had our second child and i welcome her with open arms every time she wants to visit, i truly appreciate the help and how involved she wants to be!!!! We have an amazing relationship.

  • I can tolerate my MIL in small doses. Always complaining she’s got something wrong. The worst one was she was complaining to a dying friend riddled with bone metastasis how sore her hand was & how much pain she’s in…I was so embarrassed.

  • Used to be best friends when I lived with mine :) then when we moved out to another state now at best we check one anothers facebooks. (Father inlaw has passed).

  • Touchy subject… Bad – can be rude by talking over ppl, wants to know everything, and always throws her apinion in wether you want to hear it or not and sometimes can make u feel like ur not included.
GOOD… We do Have a great relationship at times, We Just brush of the shitty times and Dnt hold grudges for long… I hope

  • havent seen them in over 2 years, they caused alot of drama and we are better off with them out of our lives

  • I think you have opened a can of worms here… I hear you all.. I too could write a best seller book. Married a only child and the day after the wedding she thought I married her too! But being 31 when I married her son I had my own idea’s on marriage and it did not include a third person being so demanding. I had a Doctor say to me the best way to handle this was to divorce her not my husband. He could do his family duties towards his mother and I to him and our children. This worked a treat until her passing.
