Hello!

I’m very crafty and I’m stuck for ideas on what to make the males in my life, I’ve made coasters but everything else I think of is very girly…….ideas would be fabulous. Thanks.

  • A couple of years ago I learnt the basics of crotchet and made scarves for a lot of people . Maybe Knit or crotchet some scarfs with ” Mens ” colours and get them ready for winter. Perhaps some nice woollen socks if you are extra crafty .

  • Homemade fudge, cookies, relish or BBQ marinades and sauces have always been a hit.My husbands workmates fight over my cookies and cream rocky road, made with white chocolate, oreos, marshmallows and toasted coconut. Pistachios can also be added.

  • Some homemade fudge goes down well with the men in my life!

  • Bacon salt! lol
clocks, t-shirts with stencils or transfers, glass cups from beer bottles, man cave signs using old fence palings or pallet and a wood burner to burn in name or phrase,

  • my hubby likes chillies and makes his own chilli sauce, so one fathers day we got him a heap of chilli plants – 12 months on and they are still going strong :)

  • A herb garden would be my suggestion. :-)

  • My son bought a large terracotta pot & planted a variety of lettuces, chives, baby spinach for his Dad on Father’s day & we both think it was a very thoughtful & useful gift. I haven’t had to buy salad leaves in weeks!

  • How about homemade DIY BBQ RUB. Put all the dry ingredients in layers in a nice glass jar, add a raffia tie and instructions.

    Big Batch Barbecue Rub

    Directions
Combine the ingredients and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 months.
Instructions to include with your gift: Up to 2 hours before cooking, coat 1 kg of chicken, beef, pork, or seafood with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle with 2 to 4 tablespoons of the rub. Cook as desired.

  • We did the book of tokens that I had seen on here, but put things just for him and knew he would like ie free footy night without kids, sleep in with coffee on waking make by kids and a couple of adult only ones lol

  • Paint a mug? Or a T-shirt?

  • Nice, thank you. I like all of them. I was actually thinking of bookmarks just the other day.

  • What about some personal care products: deodorant, shampoo, body wash? There are some excellent recipes online that could easily be scented with “masculine” fragrances. Cufflinks, if he wears such things, or other jewellery, if he is a bracelet or necklace wearer. Bookmarks, if he is a reader. Hand paint a plate or a mug if your skills lie that way. Relish, chutney, biscuits, if you cook such things well.
