My son has talipes (club foot) in his right foot and won’t sleep much during the day. He only sleeps for half hour – 2 hours at a time and wants to be fed every 2 1/2 hours. I’m worried about him not getting enough sleep and when he is awake he has lots of mummy time, daddy time and grandma and grandad time, but still doesn’t want to sleep. He recently had his Achilles’ tendon cut (part of the ponsetti treatment for club foot) and would stay awake for 5-8 hours at a time! We give him baby Panadol when he looks to be in pain and that still doesn’t help much. He is just on 2 months old, but he has been this way since he was 2 weeks old when he got his cast on. Has anyone else dealt with this condition and have any ideas on how I can settle or soothe him.
