Hello!

I would like to know some quick easy and somewhat healthy things I can make to put in lunch boxes. Any help would be great, thanks.

  • Soy crisps are a hit in our house, i usually put a sandwich with fillings of their choice, mandarine, apple, yoghurt, soy crisps, and one compartment that changes everyday, simple healthy and they still cant eat all of that!


  • So glad I’m not navigating the whole school lunch box issues now. It certainly is a lot harder then it used to be


  • Sushi is a healthy option or rice paper rolls!


  • Cheese and biscuits, carrot sticks and dip, different shaped sandwiches, sushi, fried rice, home made muesli bars (lots of recipes on here)


  • how about small wraps? or veggie sandwiches


  • There are heaps of great recipes on pinterest too


  • Fruit salad, a nice dip, some easy made slice or fruit muffins,


  • Soak some chickpeas overnight, then pat them dry and lay them on a baking sheet with some olive oil. Bake them in a hot oven for half and hour. It’s a perfect healthy snack. My daughter loves it.


  • Savoury muffins, pizza and vegemite scrolls, sushi, crackers with dip and veggie sticks.


  • If your on facebook there is a page called “Lunchbox Ideas For Kids” they have some great ideas.


  • If you are wanting to cook stuff, muffins are great and can add grated veg too them. Zucchini slice is a great one, quichies.

  • When I was in school mum would sometimes pack cheese, kabana, carrot sticks, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and some water crackers. I loved it.

    Also you could make up a veggie slice and have it ready to go


  • I always keep wholemeal mini tortillas to fill with leftover veggies & cheese or omelettes and send them as rolls with tomato sauce.
