Hello!

Where’s the best place to get a play kitchen for my daughter from? She is 4 and thinking a nice little wooden one would be good.

  • I love the looks and sturdiness of a wooden play kitchen.
However plastic ones can be equally good. We have a plastic one which has been frequently used for 13 years and still is being used by my youngest. I would say plastic ones are a bit easier to clean

  • Got ours from kmart $49. You can get bigger ones from Ikea but of course these are more expensive

  • We got ours from catch. We gifted it to our daughter for her first birthday and she’s loved it ever since and still plays with it 2 years on as she is now 3.
It has held quite well and it was just over a hundred bucks.

  • Kmart seek really good wooden ones for about $70. Ours is two years old and going strong.

  • I got ours from Kmart for $75 and its awesome. My kids love it

  • We have a cardboard box kitchen… we love it

  • My daughter has a gorgeous wooden light pink & white one from bigW & I bought her some cute stainless steel pots & pans from ikea

  • I got my daughters from kmart it’s wooden an great an it only cost $85 which I thought was a great price..

  • Ikea have some great ones at the moment

  • I think I saw a wooden kitchen in a Big W catalogue not long ago.

  • You used to be able to get great wooden toys, etc from the Australian Red Cross. I don’t know if they still sell?

  • I would take a look at ikea they have some great kids bedroom furniture including dolls houses, kitchens, play boxes, chalk boards.
Or maybe look at target and get a cheaper one to start with to see if she will gets lots of use out of it as i know ikea can be quite expensive with kids stuff.

  • Ikea have a few different kinds of play stations, I believe they have a kitchen one which you can get toy pots, pans and food for.

  • If you are crafty an old TV cabinet often seen out at council clean-ups can be made into cute little kitchens! Google for some ideas!
