  • Our blue light zapper caught more moths than mosquitoes. You also don’t want it too close to you otherwise they may visit you on their way to the light. That was our experience. Citronella candles put in a safe place deter them too. I don’t know if you could put citronella oil on fabric near the baby and keep them away that way. It has a strong aroma so it may be too much for a baby, or anybody or pets too.

  • Yeah a mozzie net and a blue light zapper

  • I would say buy a bassinttte cloth you know the ones that hang from the ceiling they’re great for repelling mozzie and flies ect.

  • Eukie bear chest rub is good to keep mozzies away, it works for me with my lo

  • doTerra have two essential oil blends for insect repellents – Terraarmour and Terrashield. I have a friend who brought them to Finland because apparently the mozzies are quite bad there and she said they were great for her children. You don’t have to apply them straight to the skin, either.

  • We used a mozzie band. Its great cos it can hang off the pram and stuff.

  • I would say a mosquito net is the safest !
When I was a child we all had a Citronella plant in our bedroom, worked a treat !!

  • i use a product called Vanilla Mozi

  • If you don’t find a product, might I suggest avoiding going out with Bub when mozzies are around?

  • baby oil will act as a barrier, there are some safe repellents though, have a chat with your pharmacist, from memory there is one called ‘Locals’ its essential oil based

  • We had a net that was used on the crib and pram, and a larger one we used on the cot until our little one was big enought to stand up and pull on it, with ties on the corners that we tied around the cot legs below the base the mattress sat on.

  • You still need to be careful of products that are all natural. We have one of those automatic insect sprays in the house!

  • Totally concur with the other posters who suggested MooGoo. Their whole range is amazing.

  • I like moogoo as well for just about everything but for mozzies I use Mozzie Dots and just stick them on the outside of the baby’s clothing that way their body heat still activates the dot but no chemicals actually have to touch their skin.

  • Moogoo have an insect repellant which is all natural! I love Moogoo products!
