Hello!

Any suggestion on stretching shoes? I purchased the most gorgeous pair of flat shoes and they are too tight. I am unable to change the size as they were on sale. They are a $10 bargain!

  • Stack to shoe full of wet news paper overnight, than let it dry out.
My mum used to have a shoe spanner.

  • I don’t think that is true. If you have a receipt , there are numerous times in the past when I had to exchange sizes. A lot don’t offer refunds but I am sure you can do an exchange for something else or another size . Check with consumer rights of not sure .

  • Try wearing them every day. For short periods to start with, and increase until they fit like a glove

  • I also bought shoes for next to nothing and they are gorgeous,l went to a good shoe shop and he said to wear them in with two pairs of socks for 1/2-1hr a day for 4-5 days and if that didn’t work he said he would stretch them for me,though they are leather.Wearing them in worked perfect.Good Luck!

  • Shoe stretchers sound interesting Mom’s!

  • You can “shoe stretchers” in the shops or online to use.

  • lol everyone says the same ideas basically. hop we have been helpful to you

  • You can buy shoe stretchers for them, try to look on line, or heat the shoe with an hair dryer and stuff the shoe with newspapers

  • I don’t want to sound grumpy, but honestly, what is $10 spent for having a healthy feet. By the time you finished doing all these what can be done for a tight shoes. stuff. You’ve wasted so much of your time and may have put your feet in pain, bruises and blister. If I were you, I’ll put the shoes for sale at etsy, ebay or at your town’s recycle group. Or maybe give it to your favorite person if your heart pleases. Remember, your feet will carry you for the rest of your life, might as well give it the shoes it fully deserves. Just my opinion. Thanks for reading.

  • If they are leather, you might be able to stretch them a bit, but vinyl won’t stretch.

  • Take them to the shoe repair shop will cost $10 so now you paid $20 and still have a bargain. Good luck.

  • Heat with hairdryer then wear with thick socks until cold. Do it more than once if you need to. :)

  • Wonderful answers as usual.. you can also purchase special spray that helps but seeing how they only cost $10 suspecting more money spent is a waste. Good luck.

  • Use a shoe stretcher or stuff with newspaper.
Slightly dampen shoe and leave to dry.
If they are vinyl this will not work.

  • you can get a good friend with slightly smaller foot to wear them in. If not OK with you. I was taught long ago to stuff them tight with damp newspaper, packed really tight and leave in for while
if shoes leather always stretch!. also wear nylon oot sock and wear shoes inside for a while. If all fails give them to good fried! (I have done that and always love them on her when she wears them
