Hello!

I’m a size 24 and want to look slimmer, any tricks that anyone knows to help with this? It will be 36 degrees on interview day and I was originally planning to wear a jacket to cover my arms, however it will obviously be too hot for that now. Aargh, feeling huge…

  • What you wear to an interview really depends on what type of job you are applying for. Keep in mind whether you will be required to wear a uniform, or your own clothes to work when dressing for an interview. Neat casual, no jeans is usually acceptable for many jobs. If you feel comfortable you will have more confidence. The interviewer will be able to see your discomfort if you are wearing something that makes you sweat to the interview. Good luck for your interview, hope you get the job.

  • Dark colours are meant to be slimming, as are vertical stripes. But it sounds as though it would have been too hot for dark colours. Hope you got the job

  • Dress and a light cardi or dress with longer sleeves

  • How did you go? What did you wear? And, more importantly, did you get the job?

  • I would look for something black with white side panels, incredibly slimming effect. Made of cotton of course for coolness

  • Wear black with a splash of colour.

  • wear black it always has slimming effect. skirt with short sleeved long top,add touch of colour with scarf or necklace and earrings too match.good luck with your interview.

  • i am excited about these answers this is exactly what I want to know thanks for asking the question

  • It is important to look comfortable and confident. Wear clothes that can breathe; especially if it is hot. I would go with black pants and a crisp coloured shirt.

  • I would go with all black with a bright colour large necklace for a pop of colour, and wear a nice lipstick shade and nail polish. They probably have air con so you could wear a loose black dress with a black jacket or apply some fake tan on your arms/legs to slim them down.I would keep it professional and go with all black {no prints} just add some colour with a necklace and bag.

  • I think like the others have said black on the bottom and maybe a strip shirt or nice print top.
Good luck hope you get the job.

  • black is slimming but you need a few accessories and a pop of colour otherwise you can look morbid. just smell good, dress neat and be polite and on time

  • I hope its not too late to post. I usually wear black on the bottom half and a blouse or shirt with a print/design that flows down my body rather than across my body. Good Luck with the interview

  • You can still wear a suit jacket which is recommended at an interview. Just don’t wear it until you walk into the air conditioned building. Black is slimming.

  • I love that you dressed comfortably in able for you to concentrate on the questions and not being uncomfortable. Black is always a classic colour – but it does depend on what the interview is for. If it’s for office work a jacket would still be appropriate – if it’s anything like my office the aircon is cold enough that you can still wear a jacked even when it’s hot outside.
