  • Besides a soak in cold water, I used to use a cooling gel and have the legs up in the evening

  • Cool water in a bath tub is short term relief. Perhaps see a Podiatrist and get some professional advise and have your feet checked for any underlying issues.

  • I got myself a pet cooling pad and in summer i sit my feet on it and recline so my feet are up, I work in take away food so socks and shoes all year round and I get some very toastie tootsies!

  • I have a foot spa, it’s amazing! I use warm water and a good soa, it also vibrates. It so nice. I use a cucumber based soak, it’s very cooling, which may help you out

  • A long soak in a foot spa you can get the ones that massage as well

  • Some good advice here thanks ladies

  • try soaking for 20 or so minutes in an epsom salt foot bath then a gentle massage afterwards with a moisturising cream. You may need to try and encourage the circulation in your feet

  • Using a moisturiser and soak that has peppermint in them is fantastic for your feet. I think Avon has a foot treatment that has it in it with special socks to put on your feet while you sleep that aids the moisturiser

  • Thanks so much for all the replies. I am going to try all the tips that you gave me all of you. you don’t know how much it means to me to know some of you have experienced this problem.
    Cheers!

  • I use to get this and I went to a Foot doctor and I needed orthotics and now I don’t get it any more. I have flat feet apparently.

  • We must remember that our feet take the weight of our entire body so we must look after them. First and foremost is good supporting and comfortable shoes with orthotic inner-soles.
Second soak in either washing soda, epsom salts, bicarb soda or radox. Pat dry and apply a good moisturiser. Your feet will even love a nice massage with some olive oil.

  • I think its the material your shoes are made from. An insole might help as suggested.

  • You need some support in your foot wear. Have a look at getting some nice thick inserts like the ones Scholls have, everyone that has to stand on their feet for many hours needs good support.

  • I soak mine for 15-20mim then smother in moisteriser or sorbelene cream. It works a treat for me hope it does same for you :)
