Hello!

My two-year-old son used to eat meat without any worries, but now he’s refusing anything that has meat in it. He won’t eat pasta sauce, meatballs etc. is this a stage? I’m not sure why he’s gone completely off red meat?

  • I have a toddler that’s gone off everything…does that count?

  • Once our daughter turned 5 that was it. No more meat products and cow rennet products in her cheese as an adult. We have a number of vegetarians in the family and it is because they don’t like eating, tasting meat.
In our case this is what happened in our family. I’m not too sure whether this has helped, though it’s given some insight.

  • Yes, both my kids went off meat for a while. I don’t think they liked the chewing of it, it’s sometimes hard work compared to other food on the plate. They’re both meat eaters now

  • I have experienced a toddler that has gone off their meat eating. Normally just a phase but if your concerned seek health advice.
