Just wondering if any other Mums had experienced irregular periods after stopping breastfeeding?

  • Not abnormal. Your periods will become more regular after a few months. Some women also find that their periods after weaning—and after pregnancy in general—are more intense. They may experience more cramping and PMS symptoms. Others may experience more regular periods and fewer PMS symptoms.


  • Nothing to worry about it may because the body is going back normal it may happens a few times


  • Some Mums get their periods again before they stop breastfeeding. Your hormones are adjusting. I’m not sure how long it normal takes for the usual pattern to return. You may want to consult your GP or other medical professional.


  • No – it came back pretty regularly for me
