Hello!

Yesterday, morning sickness kicked in, as well as waking up with a cold, I thought I couldn’t be unluckier but I could. After a day of hell come night time I was off to the hospital I had become too dehydrated and needed to have my heart monitored :( (baby is fine). Now looking for some help on my recovery as my confidence has slipped with a household of sick mum and bubs. Need some cheering up ideas :(

  • Simply by kind to yourself, which is taking care for your physical, emotional, psychological and social needs

  • Have a speak to your GP. If you are finding it hard to keep water down, try taking more frequent smaller sips. Try eating watermelon, and other high water foods such as cucumber. This may help keep you hydrated. All the best x

  • Just take some time off and relax. Don’t worry about doing anything, focus on you, get yourself right. Once your right, all will follow

  • I think mom153157 has answered this question the same way I would have. Take care of yourself.

  • First of all you need to remember you’re human & you need to take time out once in a while. You’re going to get sick & things are going to go wrong & it’s not anyones fault. These things just happen.
As far as boosting your confidence, you need to rejuvenate yourself.
    Treat yourself to some luxury!
Take a weekend break away, go out for a meal, have a ladies day, get a manicure & pedicure & facial, go clothes shopping, go Mummy & bubby shopping.
Anything that is going to make you happier & boost your confidence.
Hope you are feeling much better now :)

  • How are you going now? Best advice someone gave me was be kind to yourself, as mums we expect a lot from ourselves and so do other people.

  • Just take it day by day and everything will fall into place xo

  • Sounds like how i was!!

  • go and pamper yourself – get your hair done, have a massage or something just for you.

  • What about treating yourself to a manicure or clothes or a haircut. Take care in your appearance, wear jewellery when you go out, that helps my confidence.
