Hello!

My eyebrows can look quite ratty, and until I started wearing glasses, I used to pluck the stray eyebrow hairs myself. However, now my eyesight has deteriorated and I can’t see to do the plucking without my glasses on. And of course when I’ve got my glasses on, it’s impossible to pluck. Catch 22. Last time I had my hair done, I had my eyebrows waxed, and while it did a great job of tidying my eyebrows, it really irritated the skin (and hurt like hell), and I had red blotches for a couple of days after the treatment. The beautician asked if I wanted to try “Threading”, but as I didn’t know much about it, I declined. Now my eyebrows need tidying again, and I wanted to know if any Mums have tried threading, what reactions (if any) you had from it, did it last like waxing, what’s a fair charge for it, and what you thought of it overall? Thanks in advance for your advice.

  • Great question I was thinking about this as well

  • Yes I get mine threaded and it us a weird feeling but so worth it

  • What is threading? Sounds painful.

  • Yeh they do last a while!! The ladies i see recommend to come in once a month.
I wouldn’t say it’s as painful as waxing- but it’s a weird feeling! Probably give you a shock
The first time but then you will get used to it :)

  • I’ve decided to “take the bull by the horns” and try threading. Booked in for next week. Hope it doesn’t hurt, and that the results last for a few weeks.

  • I have never heard of this, goodluck in finding your answers

  • I’m a real wuss when it comes to pain, so am wondering how much it hurts to have threading done? Do the results last as long as waxing or plucking?

  • THREADING IS AMAZING!!! i have notoriously horrible eyebrows to shape- they grow in all kinds of directions. threading seriously is magic- it makes them perfect. I will never go back to plucking or waxing.
