Hello!

Are Mazda’s a good reliable car brand? I am considering purchasing the new generation Mazda 5 suv. I have never had a Mazda before but this car ticks a lot of boxes! Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

  • Yep they are! My friend has had a Mazda 3 for years with no issues

  • My friend owns a Mazda and loves it.

  • We have had 6 Mazdas in our family and are considering buying another so I would have no hesitation in saying they are a quality, well made car that last a long time if serviced correctly and well cared for.

  • We purchased a Mazda 3 sedan in June 2013 and have no problems at all with our car. The dealership we bought from has been great and the Mazda services have been brilliant. Our experience is that they are great cars!

  • In have owned a Mazda many years back and I like that car a lot.

  • Did you end up getting a Mazda? Looking for cars is fun!

  • yes they are good and so are toyota cars.

  • As a long term SUV driver I love my HONDA CRV I test drove them all prior to buying my 2nd new CRV & value for $$ went back to the CRV. Things have changed a lot over last 5 years & again, I would suggest test driving them all. The last new car dealer I bought from gave me the car to test drive for the weekend! It help to make my mind up!

  • I would suggest a lot of online research – there are some good car review sites. They are well worth looking at for a good idea of costs and performance.

  • My hubby & I have been seriously looking at them & with our son’s advice (a mechanic) we are ready to purchase one after we privately sell hubby’s car.

  • Hubby the mechanic says yes, very good cars. Technically speaking 90% of all vehicles today are the same in engineering quality. Choose the budget, features you must have, the colour and shape and which dealer/brand can deliver on your terms the best, including the best warranty, service costs and after sales service. That is the one, and if Mazda ticks all the boxes for you, go for it. Mazda, Toyota and Honda, practically the same quality, although as Toyota is simply more well known it may have a better name for that reason only. Hubby would prefer a Mazda as the new shapes are just killing the others for looks atm. PS, on average, Toyota were more expensive to maintain over the years. Buy an ex demo, fully featured with all the bugs are gone, and at only 6mths old, it is still new, and buckets cheaper.

  • We have Mazda 3 and we like it.

  • I haven’t had a Mazda before so probably I am not much help. My brother in law is a mechanic and swears by Toyotas.

  • they are lovely cars, though never owned one

  • I think they are. Had a 626 from about 2000 to nearly 2010. Was reliable, economical and had great safety features. I think mazda make qualiy cars for sure and they are competitively priced generally.
