Hello!

I’m currently pregnant with bub #2 and my morning sickness comes in the evening this time, very inconvenient when it’s the only alone time my husband and I have. Ginger ale always makes me feel better when I’m nauseous, pregnant or otherwise, but I don’t want to be drinking so much soft drink. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative forms of ginger to help?

  • Ginger tea, ginger biscuits, ginger chews and cooking with ginger is rather nice too !

  • You could also try ginger tea, or ginger and lemon tea.

  • I have a packet of uncrystallised ginger in the fridge for any tummy upsets. It’s strong, but works.

  • A slice of ginger or teaspoon of the jarred ginger in a cup of hot water. You can also buy ginger tablets from the shop

  • I liked the budgerim ginger bear lollies. Hard to find but they used to be in Coles.

  • I have used Ginger tablets and drunk Ginger tea both helps me when my stomach isn’t the best . You can purchase them from health food stores, pharmacies and supermarkets.

  • Have you tried Ginger /peppermint tea ? Both have anti- nausea effects ,There are so many brands to choose from the supermarkets now and if you want more healthy solutions , there are also lots of healthy food stores around that specialise in herbal remedies as well . We have Healthy Life in Sydney which I like to browse in .

  • I think you can get it in tablets, good luck

  • Yeah I reckon that ginger tea sounds really good!

  • hopefully this has settled for you sweetie

  • I ate home baked ginger cookies. You know what’s in them & can adjust the ginger & sugar to taste :)

  • There’ are a range of ginger products that help, nibbling on ginger nut biscuits, Buderim ginger products such as ginger bears or using powdered ginger in recipes.

ginger refresher cordial is another option you can put in soda water or plain water.

  • LOTS of sympathy from hubby and milk it girlfriend – milk it LOL sorry, but you just have to ride through it x

  • Have you tried sea sickness bands? They are supposed to help with sickness.

  • I add root ginger to my tea leaves sometimes. So if you drink tea, make a pot and add a slice of ginger when brewing. It’s a nice flavour!
Might be a silly question but are you hungry at that time of day? I found ingot morning sickness whenever my tummy was too empty… Worth earing a few biscuits and seeing if that helps or a sweet ginger biscuit?
Congratulations and hope Sickness goes away soon!
