My children are currently 4,3 and 2 but will be 5,4 and 3 before the next comes along if we have a 4th. The older 2 will almost be 6 and 5. My older 2 are really pushing for us to have another baby and I have a clouded mind on it right now. Any tips or advice would be very much loved!!

  • It’s not about what your older 2 want, it’s about what you and your partner want and are able to care for

  • Sounds like a time to make a pros/cons list.
Money, time, relationships, emotional wellbeing, physical etc.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

  • Well you’re older two kids won’t be responsible for a new baby, so them pushing for another baby is irrelevant. It’s a hundred per cent up to you and your husband only if and when you have a fourth child

  • I agree with coastalkaren. If you’re unsure, wait.

  • Did you end up having another baby?

  • I don’t think the age difference is what matters most. I hope all went well.

  • I guess it all comes down if you and hubby want to have another?

  • if in doubt hesitate!

  • Do it for yourselves not just because your older kids want a brother or sister :)

  • How did you go? Did you and your hubby decide to go for #4?
We have 4 kiddos, currently 6, 4, 3, and 1. Honestly, it is utter chaos with 4 kids, but it keeps you from being bored lmao. My 6yo is actually wanting us to have another baby lmao, maybe its about the age for it bahaha.

  • I am 3 of 4.
We all get along really well now (and weren’t too bad as children) but we are more spread out, we are now 36, 32, 28 & 22

  • What did you decide?

  • I think you know in your heart when your family is not complete and the very fact that you are asking the question means that you feel you aren’t done yet. Good luck!

  • We got the bigger car, and welcomed baby 4 with an age difference of 11, 9, 6 and newborn. The decision for us was a longing our family was not complete. The bills will always come in. Our kids are safe, well fed, and well loved. Two years on, they would love another sibling, but along with finances and our desire for another baby, I need to balance my energy and health. Best of luck with your decision. If now is not the time, maybe another year or two is better.

  • so i wonder how you went?
