Baby blessings are very popular these days, buy I think it’s just a fancy word for baby shower. I love the games, they are most fun at showers.

6-8 weeks before ur due date is a good time… measuring the belly game is great fun – if ur not easily offended :p a high tea is nice

I recently went to a baby shower where everyone had to mould a ‘baby’ out of play dough and the mum-to-be judged the best…and worst, that was pretty funny.

get toilet paper and guesstimate how much you would need to measure the belly
guess the gender, length and weight of baby for when it is born
guess the date and time of birth

have it at 34-36 weeks

Maybe get one of your friends to help.. You can get someone to make you a nappy cake.. Theme it all pink and white , and games such as change the nappy, the fastest, bottle -how fast people ca drink out of a bottle etc

i made a nappy cake from dispoable nappyies put a toys some socks bottle on top for decorations mum to be got the cake !!! i also played many games like guess how big mums belly is so each persom had to cut a bit of string to how long they think belly is also every one go a dummy foe a necklace and picked a word that they are not allowed to say eg something related to baby so belly bubs ect and if you said it you lost the necklace had to try to cheap it all baby shower what baby food is that i got apples punkin custards all in a bowl they all had to taste the baby food and guess what it was had decorations up as a clothe line and had baby clothes hanging up at the end of the party my sister the mum to be got them clothes that was there also i had a book for every one to write some advice or something well wishes ect for mum to be to look at latter on down the track

I never had a baby shower but my friends who I just went to did a few games two that were funny she froze icecubes (with small plastic babies in them) and gave everyone one to melt in their hands once they baby was free you waters had ‘broken’ and you were the winner. The other was guess how big their tummy is by cutting a piece of string. With the food just make it finger food especially if its an afternoon thing maybe you could ask people to bring a plate they would be happy to do that.

I think around 30 weeks! Google some games to play there is alot of good ones out there:)

For my sisters baby shower we decorated baby singlets as a game with the best 3 she liked getting prizes but she loved the personal touch of the singlets we did hers in the June and she had her baby in the July both of mine were done the month before I had my kids

I made a fruity baby carriage – it was a hollowed out 3/4 of a watermelon then half a honeydew (or rockmelon) then grapes and sultanas for eyes and you fill it with watermelon, honeydew and rockmelon balls. Everyone loved it. If you google fruity baby carriage you will see what it looks like and prob find instructions on how to make it.
