Hello!

Hi. No. 5 has arrived! And we currently have a seven seater so we all fit but no boot space or granny can’t come any more. So we’re thinking of upgrading to an 8 seater- Maybe IMAX or kia grand carnival or ? Anyone have had an 8 seater? Thanks

  • I have just brought a KIA Carnival and I am so in love with it. It has so much space for all the family and mine range from 17 years to 3 years (have 3/4 kids). So much boot space and heaps of storage. I have the platinum version and this is top-notch with heating and cooling front seats, cooler In the glove box and plenty of space for the kid’s drinks. If you have a big family then this is the car for you

  • Five kids! Go you!! Kia Carnival was a great little people mover. We hired one on holiday and had no issues with it

  • Alert: If you buy a Kia make sure it takes a standard size battery. A wrok colleague of mine bought a Kia and when the battery “died” none of the standard Aust. ones fitted it correctly. Whatever you buy be sure to ask how long parts take to arrive. Another friend of ours bought a car made overseas. Some bodytrim fell off (or was stolen) and he ordered replacements from a Registered car Dealership. The part took 6 months to get here in Adelaide. He bought the car brand new and had only had it a few months. Lucky the car was roadworthy.

  • We hired a Carnival when we holidayed with family. They’re a lovely little vehicle

  • We have an older Land Cruiser with the bucket seats in the front, and added in bolt in seats in the boot. Has the towing power, and the removable boot seats turned it from a 6 seater to an 8 seater (but we can still remove the seats if we need the cargo room later). Our other car is a 7 seater Nissan Patrol, again for the towing power. If you don’t mind a van, a Tarago is pretty good. Personally, I’d steer away from Hyundai – we owned a lemon from new, and we have friends going through similar dramas.

  • Tarago is best for me!@

  • Pardon landcruiser

  • What car did you end up buying? I hope you got a great deal :D

  • I have never had this problem and never will. I think you deserve a medal for having this many kids.

  • Both the kia and Hyundai are great. Take both for a test drive and see which one you prefer. It’s pretty much personal choice – they are pretty similar cars.

  • We have a Kia Grand Carnival and LOVE it. It’s really awesome. You do have to be careful if your purchasing 2nd hand though as there were major engine problems with some of the earlier models.

  • i have never even heard of an 8 seater car lol. A few years ago I saw a 12-seater, not quite sure on what it was but would still be driven on a normal drivers license and might be a bit more spacious then an 8-seater

  • the kia is a good car and pretty spacious

  • my sister has a kia 7 seater its looks great

  • Lol the only one that I can think of is a mini bus!
