Hello!

I am in desperate need on a great budgeting app so I can see if I can afford to move out of my mum’s place and get a place for my 3 children and myself. Any advice from any single mums would be very appreciated!

  • I’ve been using finder, it’s great as it will categorize your spending and compare it to the previous month to keep you motivated. Good luck!

  • I know this isn’t an app, but consider reading Scott Pape’s the Barefoot Investor. It might give you some tips, as it has some really easy and attainable suggestions.

  • I use calendars on excel. in the calender i put all my bills that are due during the month. and i keep calculations of what i have spent. Its easy and i can see in the future as well.

  • Not so much an app. But spreadsheets are my go to if you’re good with formulas. Barefoot investor book has great ideas too.

  • Maybe refer to some Oz money saving sites for their recommendations?

  • I am not sure about apps, but we found the book the Barefoot Investor well worth the investment.

  • While it won’t give you advice on how to save etc, you can keep track with Money Manager or Monefy. That way you can track your expenses and income then you’ll have to decide what to save for each week or month to get enough to move out

  • Sorry I have no advice. We’ve always done the budgeting ourselves on spreadsheets

  • Ill be keeping an eye on this one. My daughter could use some help with budgeting money
