  • Did you try massage, shower, tiger balm, neck brace ?

  • A massage is the only thing that truly works for me.

  • Try fisiocrem from pharmacy or endogamy clove and mint balm. It won’t cure it but it will give you some relief

  • Ive been getting a weekly neck and shoulder massage. So far so good but like you I should really talk to the GP about it

  • I have a damaged nerve between my neck and shoulder and if I am not careful such as getting out of bed the wrong way, I have a neck spasm that feels like a knife stabbed me . Then I decided to buy a neck brace at a pharmacy and have never looked back becuase the brace stops you from turning your head so you use it plus take a painkiller and then a few days time the pain will subside. Good luck and hope it works out as its not fun to have pain that won’t go away .

  • A GP should be able to assist with neck pain management and possibly make a referral to a specialist.

  • A GP visit should be able to assist with neck pain by management or referral to a specialist.

  • Self-massage has worked wonders for me. Both digging deep into muscle knots (gentle pressure on the tight spots increasing as they release) and working gently around the attachments of muscles even if they are distant to the tight spot. I find a tennis ball does a good job on shoulders and back of neck (and seems to release neck muscles for me), plus upper back also affects neck and a massage pillow can help (like the one in the link for about $20-$30 from ebay)

  • Without sounding rude I would be asking what is causing the pain in the first place? I would suggest a visit to your GP as the first port of call as maybe Xrays need to be taken. If all is OK there and GP is of little help then try a chiropractor, phyiso or massage.

  • I tried the chiropractor, physio and therapeutic massages. The massages actually help. But of course it depends on the type of pain you have.

  • Nurofen works best for me and a heat pad. Avoid activities that strain your neck – continually keeping your neck/head tilted at an awkward angle – like using mobile phone/ipad/reading. Get a good pillow that supports your head firmly.

  • i’ve been suffering for a whole year……doctor suggested physio but i can’t afford it ….may help you though.

  • Heat rub and nurofen accupuncture or acupressure

  • It might be worth seeing a physio. they can check your neck out and give you exercises to do from home to help alleviate the pain. Also while your sitting stretch your neck from side to side to help the muscles. And when looking at your phone hold it up rather then looking down at it. I hope your neck pain goes soon. it is horrible to have neck pain. x
