  • Good answers to know when l buy a hand mixer!

  • I look forward to reading all the answers – mine broke on Sunday!

  • Always make sure you keep your warranty and receipt handy; in case you have problems with a new mixer.

  • Our sunbeam hand mixer has been working for years; very reliable and efficient.

  • I swear by my Bamix.

I had one for absolutely years and wore it out.
We couldn’t afford another so bought just a generic brand. Well it didn’t last very long at all before we needed another. Bought a bit better brand and same thing.
So I made that one last just a bit more until I had saved for another Bamix.
This time I even got a pretty color and these things are so strong.
    Love it.

  • I bought an Aldi “Lumina” hand mixer with bowl not too long ago. I am really happy with this product as it detaches from the bowl and can be used as a portable hand mixer. It was quite cheap ($30) and it I think that it is money well spent. I previously had a 30 year old General Electric hand mixer which I had to get rid of as it would only work with one beater.

  • I have a sunbeam mixer and its like over 5 years old now and still going strong

  • Sunbeam are great, their stuff seems to last

  • I have a Phillips hand mixer and a bamix stab blender that are 28 years old and still going strong.

  • useful answers for me. you know i was just going to ask this question as i have never used these are was wanting to buy one…thanks

  • Interesting answers. Appliances were made to last years ago. Nowadays they are manufactured offshore and the quality has declined dramatically. Ask your local dealers which products have better reputations and fewer returns and a warranty.

  • kenwoods are great

  • I love my bamix – expensive but it is great

  • I have a Sunbeam hand mixer that is still going strong (it must be 35 or more years old). I also have a Black & Decker Stick Blender which is useful for blending soups & it also must be 30 odd years old!
