  • My favourite spot is in Wandin, where my son and his little family live :) Phillip Island is lovely too, as long as you go to avoid the crowds, it can be packed! The Grampians are delightful also. Ballarat has some must see bits too

  • The Grampians…. they have waterfalls and are magnificent !!

  • great ocean rd phillip island geelong is beautiful lakes entrance echuca

  • We love Lakes Entrance – beaches to explore, lots of places to fish and mini golf etc if you are into that sort of thing. Phillip Island (Cowes) is also great. Both have lots of accommodation options for varying budgets.

  • We love Halls Gap (The Grampians). Bush walking (just follow the tracks) lots of varied lengths and difficulty. These suit all age groups (we can take the pram to many of them). The Zoo is an amazing experience, you can get up close and personal with so many animals. Waterfalls, fishing, canoeing, 4WD tracks scenery that is always changing. Fantastic bakery!!! Varied accommodation – B&B, caravan parks, etc. We like to go at least one a year if not more.

  • geelong is always good lots of things to see and do and there is plently around you can even do a day trip to melbourne and stay in geelong or even out to queenscliff great town busy but not to busy like melbourne

  • Like one of the others have said, it depends on your likes and what you want to do.
We love the mountains, the bush and taking it easy, sitting back and relaxing. So we go camping up near Licola or as a kid my parents used to take us to Bright and stay at a caravan park (I have wonderful childhood family holiday memories). In the last year we have been to Kangaroo Island (Beach but in SA), Wangaratta, Dromana, Breakfast Creek (past Licola), camped on our farm, and we are heading to Macs Cove just out of Mansfield in November. All really lovely places with their own charms.

  • Ballerat, Daysleford and around that area, very quiet but lots to do area

  • Phillip Island is a great place to visit in Victoria. There is the Penguin parade, a chocolate factory, farm visit and lots more.

  • Depends on what time of year you’re looking at, whether you want to take kids with you, and how much you want to spend. Hiring a chalet somewhere like Falls Creek is brilliant if kids are old enough to learn to ski, or a house-boat on the Murray can also be great for the whole family.

  • This is not an easy question to answer. Depends on what you are looking for in your holiday and how far you want to travel. Do you want beach or bush? Organised activities or just enjoy the local scenery? So many places have their own attractions. Can you narrow it down a bit? In the meantime, my website has family friendly accommodation options around Victoria that you can check out. Amanda – http://www.familyfriendlyaccommodation.com.au/victoria

  • Agree with the mum below, plenty to do and see in Ballarat and we’ve stayed at Kryal Castle – can recommend it.

  • Kryal Castle Ballarat is a great place to go for fun with the kids, but Ballarat itself has alot to do for everyone in the family.

  • I havent been but a friend has and she went to the big 4 caravan park phillip island and she said it was fantastic so much for the kids to do.
Maybe check out their website as i know they have quite a few big 4 parks in victoria.
