Hello!

Hi all, we’ve just moved into our brand new home and I’d love to introduce some indoor plants however I’m not a green thumb at all. Can anyone recommend some that are less likely to die on me?

  • Potted Frangipani as long as it can get a lot of sun

  • I really like Pepperomia. Doesn’t need a lot of water and has glossy leaves. My local Bunnings tote has them.

  • If you’re gardening skills are anything close to mine. I would suggest you get fake plants. They look really life like these days and they never die!!! Lol

  • fake plants are best no need to pay attention

  • I definitely have success with fake ones. haha. – seriously!!

  • i ask my local nursery and they have some great ideas on what works best where

  • I have recently brought some indoor plants and they make me smile whenever I walk past them. I don’t know that they are, but I found them in Bunnings and though they looked good. i was worth the risk as they are thriving.

  • There are a wide range of succulents, they are beautiful and easy as! Coming from a terrible plant person.

  • If you’re not good with plants and just want them to look good, maybe buy some fake ones. They’re pretty cheap, some look absolutely fabulous, they require no time or knowledge, no water or fertiliser.

  • I’m still trying to get my head around plants too lol i started with succulents

  • I usually kill all indoor plants, but my 5-leaf rubber plant, Madonna lily and devil’s ivy are growing well for the past 10 years, so I would suggest them. I kill every African violet, fern [especially maiden hair] and ‘happy’ plant that I have ever had.

  • Succulents.

  • I swear by a Fiddle Leaf Fig. Only needs filtered sunlight and moderate waterings. By far the easiest and fastest growing plant I have. It’s taller than me standing over 174cm

  • Personally I think succulents and cactus are easy. I’ve also good experiences with the citronella plant and they help against musquitos !

  • Ive tried succulents and they have died on me. And they are suppose to be a hardy part. However i brought a Green Supreme (Caliphrunia subedentala) and its still alive despite not giving it water or nutrients.
