  • I found coconut oil was very pleasant and helped it to heal.

  • I didnt use any treatment on my c sec scar but ive heard coconut oil could be worth a try

  • Use Shea butter cream.

Pure cocoa butter, the block or palmers cocoa butter cream u can get it in drug stores.

Alovera juice,+ Origina coconut oil ,mix vigorously and apply externally

  • Coconut oil

  • I went with rosehip oil once the wound was completely healed. Whilst it was still healing I just let it air as much as possible and kept it clean and dry and also daily sun exposure helped dramatically. A natural cold pressed rosehip oil does wonders for scars and marks and is all natural

  • Bio oil, vitamen e moisturiser and fresh aloe rubbed on once wound has healed. I barely have a line. About to have my second and will be doing the same! I also used bio oil to reduce stretchmarks… not sure if im lucky or it works really well cos not a single stretchmark!

  • For me I have found just consistent use of any moisturiser works just do it after showering and when you get up

  • I suggest a good moisturiser because as the scar starts to heal the skin till tend to feel very tight then feel itchy. Then you may scratch it in your sleep even if you manage not to do it when you are awake. I forgot and rubbed mine trying to relieve the itching. Unfortunately I rubbed it a bit too hard and grazed skin so I then had to apply something similar to Betadine for a couple of days to stop infection, then re-start the moisturiser. I still have a small scar but at least is white.

  • About 5 years after the c-section I started using a moisturizing cream, and upped the intake of collagen (eg jellies and gelatine in hot drinks and now you can get supplements) but this was for loose skin more than a scar. But I think it would help scar too.

  • Strataderm gel- i was using it on my neck after thyroid operation and its great. I started using it few weeks after operation . Highly recommended

  • I used bio oil and mine looks pretty good (well for a scar) I didn’t start using it until after my 6 week check up though.
A midwife did tell me that crushing vitamin e tablets and putting that on the scar can also help, but I personally didn’t try this.

  • How old is your scar? My doc recommended after I had bub to put on a bandage called Cica-care which I did and it worked really well at preventing it forming into Keloid scarring. I don’t know if it would work later on, maybe ask a doctor or pharmacist.
