Hello!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with birth control and contraception. I have tried the injection, and the implant, and both gave me a really bad reaction. However due to a constant change in my medication, the pill isn’t really an option for me either. I have spoken to my dr, and have had other options given to me, like the female condom and the diaphragm, but as I have never considered them before, I’m a little hesitant and would like others experiences or opinions. Thank you

  • I hope you’ve found something that works well for you.

  • From your question it seems like the best option you haven’t tried is an IUD – either hormonal like the Mirena or a copper one.

  • I would recommend the mirena (iud). I have had mine for 4 years, no side effects whatsoever!!

  • i just got a iud this week no issues at all try it ask yr dr

  • Condoms seem like the best option. If you don’t plan on having any more children perhaps ask hubby/partner whether he would consider having a vasectomy.

  • try the mirena (iud) you leave it in for up to 5years

  • Stitch it up is what I was told lol

  • I swear by the pill!

  • No sex!!!

  • goodluck, I hope you found your answers

  • I’d suggest just getting the guy to wear a condom!

  • The merina is meant to be good. It releases only a tiny amount of progesterone and its localised into the uterus so the side effects are meant to be minimal to none

  • there are some good comments here

  • what did you end up using

  • Some great advice from others here
