Hello!

Does anyone experience a blocked nose at night that keeps you awake? I’ve been to doctors, and I’ve tried anti-allergy sprays, the nasal strips, and the nose clips, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a remedy that works?

  • Grab a $20 aroma diffuser from Kmart and a tiny jar of eucalyptus oil. Add 2-3 drops of the oil into the water. Turn it on for 30 minutes before you go to bed but make sure all windows and doors are closed to keep the smell trapped in.
    Your room will spell for hours. This usually has us cleared up by morning.
    If it doesn’t work, try leaving it on during the night.

  • Visit an Ear Nose Throat specialist. There’s so many things they can do and it’s worth the effort

  • Get a referral to an ENT who may be able to provide you with tailored advice

  • My experience is to stay as much as possible away from spray as they’re kind of addictive. Try to prevent rebound congestion, use over-the-counter decongestant nasal sprays for no more than five days in a row, with as few doses as possible each day.
    Better to find natural remedies;
    * Add Moisture to the Air With a Humidifier or Vaporizer
    * Rinse With a Neti Pot and Saline Solution
    * Hydrate and Soothe With Warm Soups and Teas
    * Boost Your Immune System With Vitamins and Herbs
    * Apply Hot or Cold Packs to Congested Sinuses
    * Eat or Inhale the Steam From Some Garlic Cloves
    * Put an extra pillow or two under your head, as this will help drain your sinuses.
    * Put an onion cut in half beside your bed

  • Humidifier or alleviate head a tad when sleeping?

  • Yes- mine is related to dust mites. Could you try allergy testing to see what you react to? I also use fess spray if I’m awake and that helps

  • Is this because of cold? Maybe need some humidifier?
