I’m looking an renting a cabin for a week in the dandenong ranges. My man is going to be undergoing 2 serious operations on his brain & I’m wanting to surprise him with a week away. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to stay?

  • My son and daughter in law and grandson live close to the Dandenong. Such a beautiful spot


  • The Big4 chain is usually excellent. Price wise and quality wise. Many are family friendly with things to occupy the kids. Not sure if there’s one in the area you’re looking at, but worth looking for

  • Good luck with the surgery! I always visit sites like wotif.com for accommodation. I love booking wot hotels for the surprise factor for myself too.

  • Thanks ladies. Not planning to do much except browse the shops so walking distance is very important, eat, drink & spend quality time, a walk or two. I will check out these sites, thank you :)


  • I found really good accommodation on Hotels.com for a holiday last month. The guest reviews and photos give you a good idea of what a place is like.

  • Good luck with your mans surgery, My boy not long underwent a craniotomy for a brain aneurysm, so I know how your feeling, I hope you find somewhere suitable for you to both relax after it is all over
